End result is all the errors disappeared and it seemed ready to roll, but the viewing screen in both VideoPad and Scenalyzer don't show any video feed. It was seeing the device as a USB device not a bridge.

They were made way before Win7 but Pinnacle supported them up to Win7 and hey pulled the plug, However as generic devices they can be used in any Windows version as long as Microsoft doesn't drop support for firewire protocols, Wind7 drivers could be used in Win10, I gave him a link above. Will this only work with Pinnacle600 and if so, why not the 700?.

Is Windows 10 really recognizing the device or do I need more software? I assume it is, as its making the "new hardware" chime when I plug it in and unplug it, and the USB700 is displayed as a device in Scenalyzer. Are my settings correct in the Sony camera?. Upon selecting that device, Scenalyzer displays error: Error:cc:Can't connect to capture-driver - disconnect and reconnect firewire of camera/vcr!:137 Selected Capture Device in Scenalyzer is: Pinnacle 700-USB. Downloaded Scenalyzer from a thread found in these forums but date said 2006. Scenalyzer running as Administrator on Windows. Sony camera settings ETC > DISPLAY > V-OUT/LCD. Sony Camcorder Firewire out to Pinnacle. Pinnacle support said 23 wont work with 700 USB so I uninstalled all software. Went to Pinnacle site and installed Pinnacle Studio 23. Attempted to install the software that came with the 700 USB but it was too old and failed. Windows Recognizes USB700 and installed some sort of drivers upon first connect. This should suffice until you acquire a capture device that will successfully feed both audio and video to the system. Win 7 and later should exhibit no problems in that regard, so if you can't get the audio to be recognised by the device, bypass the device and feed the audio to the computer's own stereo audio line-in. There would be several audio drop-outs, but I put that down to the older operating system(Win XP). That at least got the audio into the system and sounded much better, but at the time I was using Windows XP and some audio drop-outs could be heard as the system tried to "keep up" with the video feed. While the image quality was quite good, the audio quality was attrocious coming through this device, so I bypassed the audio and fed the audio output from the VCR I was copying from, via an audio mixer, to the computer's own audio line-in and allowed the on-board Realtek audio processor card to work its magic instead. The first video capture device I used was from AVERMedia. In light of Theolilou's comment, this might help. The details show Stereo Audio under that.Īnd I can capture video and audio just fine when I use the Pinnacle Studio 14 software (so I know the 510-USB capture device is functioning properly). 
The last box, Audio Input, is blank and there is no drop-down selection list. My settings show the 510-USB for video capture and as the Audio Device. My Pinnacle Studio Moviebox HD (510-USB) capture device shows up as a “webcam” in PD10. My configuration information is in my signature block and at the end of this topic.
